Formed in 2017, These Idol Hands is a Sleaze Rock band hailing from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Their catchy riffs, pounding rhythm section, and powerhouse vocals are reminiscent of the days of grunge, along with some modern stoner rock feels.
After the 2018 winter release of singles “Black Diamonds” and “Drive,” These Idol Hands came out of seemingly nowhere and were catching fire in the music scene of Northeast PA. Spring of 2018 kicked off a string of banger rock shows through the Northeast, including an opening slot for national touring act Killcode. This lead to media coverage for the band on the NEPA Scene Podcast, a radio interview for Wyld FM, and a featured showcase concert with ALT 92.1 at the ALT 92.1 Theater. These Idol Hands were the first band to be featured for 1120 Studios Practice Space multi-media project, consisting of a live interview and studio performance. They were also showcased on 95.3 DNH’s series DNH Discovered as the featured artist for February of 2019.
November of 2018 brought the release of their debut album Unbound, followed by an 8 city tour throughout the Midwest ending in Nashville, TN. They will be heading out again in late March in support of the album playing 9 cities on the west coast, from Southern California to Seattle, WA. Next up will be the release of a live album, Unplugged, this spring alongside video footage featured in Ionic Development’s Juicebox series.
